Eating a snack during the day has many benefits. You may have more energy and be able to work better. Smart snacking is about making healthy choices!
Smart snacking ideas:
- A handful of pretzels
- Low fat yogurt with fresh fruit
- A handful of dried fruit with nuts
- A small scoop of frozen yogurt
- A couple handfuls of light microwave popcorn
- A piece of fresh fruit
- A frozen fruit bar or popsicle
- Half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
- Sliced vegetables (carrots, celery, broccoli, peppers, etc.) with low-fat dip
- Cereal bar or low-fat granola bar
- A couple of Fig Newton cookies
- A slice of low-fat cheese and handful of crackers
- Half of a bagel with a tablespoon of peanut butter
- Remember to drink 8 glasses of water every day!
