What is Smart Snacking?
Eating a snack during the day has many benefits. You may have more energy and be able to work better. Smart snacking is about making healthy choices!
 
Smart snacking ideas:
 
  • A handful of pretzels
  • Low fat yogurt with fresh fruit
  • A handful of dried fruit with nuts
  • A small scoop of frozen yogurt
  • A couple handfuls of light microwave popcorn
  • A piece of fresh fruit
  • A frozen fruit bar or popsicle
  • Half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  • Sliced vegetables (carrots, celery, broccoli, peppers, etc.) with low-fat dip
  • Cereal bar or low-fat granola bar
  • A couple of Fig Newton cookies
  • A slice of low-fat cheese and handful of crackers
  • Half of a bagel with a tablespoon of peanut butter
  • Remember to drink 8 glasses of water every day!
